Meet the Team
Steve Laycock (BSC, MARLA, MAEA)
Ten years in the property business, mainly from the "customer side"- building a large portfolio of buy to let properties Steve has experienced the typical service of numerous estate agencies from the purchase / sales side and also the letting management perspective. Typically there was significant room for improvement.
Following several bad experiences Steve took things into his own hands and became part of Platinum Properties in 2014. Steve has been strengthening the business from the customer perspective, ever since - ensuring that the business is a leader in best practice in all areas of its business operation and ensuring that Platinum Properties has the most respected team in the area.
Karen is approaching 10 years within the Residential Sales and Lettings industry largely specialising in Horwich and Blackrod and the surrounding areas. With a background in business studies, Karen started as office junior and has worked her way up through each role in estate agency – to become one of the most respected people in the local industry.

Sue is approaching 30 years in residential sales, having been a co-founder of T&S Crowley, more than 25 years ago. Born and bred in the area, she has an extensive knowledge of the area, and after retiring for a couple of years decided she missed the property business and was thrilled to join Platinum Properties and the chance of meeting old clients and welcoming new ones
The apprentice. Born in Horwich and lived in the town all her life, Alice became our first apprentice in 2015 and is currently studying for a Business Administration level 2 NVQ. Alice looks after the admin sides of lettings – ensuring maintenance is completed quickly and efficiently and ensuring that both tenants and landlords know exactly what is happening and course ensuring rent are up to date and forwarded to landlords promptly.
Niall started in the property industry in 2007 and takes an active role in day to day management if the business. He ensures that not only do our landlords stay complaint with the fast changing legislation, rules and regulations but also we adopt best practice throughout the business
We are members of a client money protection scheme and have have client money protection insurance.
We are members of The Property Ombudsman Scheme. Part of their role is to provide fair and reasonable resolutions to disputes between members of the public and estate agents.
