Tim Shinners – Director
Having gained a degree in property management, Tim became one of the youngest ever valuers at the age of 21. Continuing the academic side of property with RICS qualifications in 2001. But nothing beats hands on experience - particularly during the fast changing world of property in the last decade. -the Internet and the crash changed everything. Tim's fast moving career, single office, National , International agencies before setting up Platinum Properties in 2007.
Tim's entrepreneurial skill- rather than the typical corporate mould helps to keep the edge against other agencies, taking the best from all of his experiences - with a tenacious yet relaxed style.
Chris Baron – Director
A founding member of Platinum Properties, Chris has worked within the industry for nearly a decade, dealing with many aspects of the Estate Agency world.
With a background in blue chip retail management, Chris' back to the shop floor and hands on approach helps minimise maintenance costs for landlords whilst simultaneously providing a better standard of accommodation and maximising yields.

Karen Currie – Office Manager
Karen is approaching 10 years within the Residential Sales and Lettings industry largely specialising in Horwich and Blackrod and the surrounding areas. With a background in business studies, Karen started as office junior and has worked her way up through each role in estate agency.

Steve Laycock - Director
Ten years in the property business, mainly from the "customer side"- building a large portfolio of buy to let properties Steve has experienced the typical service of numerous estate agencies from the purchase / sales side and also the letting management perspective. Typically there was significant room for improvement.
Platinum properties made such a positive impact on Steve's property portfolio he wanted to become a part of it, which he did in 2014.
